Quick Start

Step 1:

Drag in a Hunter stack, and add your categories to each of the content areas.

This category will appear in the filter bar, and every thing you place in this area will be displayed, when selected.

You can select the number of content areas in the settings.

Step 2:

Drag and drop in your content.
Other stacks, text, images etc… into each of the content areas, you have categorised.

You now have a basic functioning Hunter, category filtering stack.

More Advanced

Multiple Categories

In step 1 above. You may want to put a content area into multiple categories.
Let's say that content is going to be a "green t-shirt". You may want to have two categories displayed in the filter bar, "T-Shirts", and "Greens".
To do this just enter both categories you want this content area to be displayed for, separated by a comma, like this:
T-Shirts, Greens
Now the filter bar will contain both those category names, and clicking either will open this content.

You can also specify the same category name, to more than one content area.
So lets say you have selected in the settings, 10 content areas in this stack. You can have a single item in each content area, if you wish. And you could have 4 of those items with the same category name.
That category name will only be displayed once in the filter bar. But when clicked it will reveal all 4 content areas, you specified this category on.

When creating categories on each of the items. Please pay close attention to spelling and capitalisation. The stack is very clever, but it would think "Socks" and "socks" were two different categories and generate both in the filter bar.

Open in a Given Category on Page Load

There is an option, that allows you to select the category the stack will open in, on page load.
In the settings it is titled "Start in Cat".
Type in the category name you with the stack to open in, being careful to match spelling and punctuation, to the real category name.
Now when the page is loaded, that category will be open.

Open in a Given Category on Page Load From an External URL (link)

There is an option, that allows you to select the category the stack will open in, on page load. Using an external link from anywhere on the internet.

Lets say you have three categories in the hunter stack… "books", "toys", "deals of the week".

You would like to make a link to the page from another page (does not need to be within the site).
And upon landing on your page, you would like the hunter stack to be displaying the category "deals of the week".

Create the link to the page as normal. Lets say that is for example: http://www.yoursite.com/thehunterpage.html

By adding a parameter to the end of the url like this, hunter will open in that category : http://www.yoursite.com/thehunterpage.html?hunt=deals of the week

The parameter is always named "hunt" and the value is the same as the category name you want to be opened.

Shuffle Items

There is an option, that allows you to shuffle the order the content areas are displayed on load.
Please be aware that this option won't work with some other stacks included as content. So please test thoroughly if you are using this option.
